It gave me confidence that I can also contribute to top sports programs in the Netherlands where the acting is at the highest level and where many champions compete.”
Before Bos made the decision, various discussions were held, including with a number of riders: “I think it is important that the mutual feeling is good. The reactions were very positive and that gave me the final push to go for it. In addition, I have a good team around me and I believe that I can be of great value in supporting athletes to achieve their goals towards LA 2028. I know from my experience as a rider and coach on the track what it takes. to reach the top. And BMX and Track have many similarities in terms of training. Ultimately, it's about us working together as a team to create something great and compete for the medal of honor. I am convinced that we can do this.”
Technical director Wilbert Broekhuizen is also looking forward to the collaboration: “We are proud that Theo is joining our technical staff with all his experience as a rider and coach. He absolutely knows what it takes to create a top sports climate in which goals are achieved. He is a pioneer of sprinting and can provide our riders with optimal support. We face 2025 with great confidence.”
