The park has been open for a while and was considered Europe's biggest skatepark by the local council. This always attracts more people and media to the opening of such a park and with a size of 50 meters by 60 meters it is in fact huge. It's got something for everyone, a cradle, bowl, stairs, rails, ledges, wall, hips and of various sizes so something for everyone. Location: Kapermolen, Hasselt, Belgium.

Dave McDermott has two hand painted "Meridian" sprockets ready for the taking. There was a total of three, but back in October some dude decided to steal it from the Madera table at Interbike... Here is the contest: "Please submit a piece of art work that you have personally created. There is no piece too big or too small. There is no media restrictions so it can be a painting, a drawing, or even a sculpture. The only requirement is that it has to relate to bmx and include the madera logo. You must submit a scanned image or a photo by Thursday, January 31st."

This Saturday 20 January the Boneyard is putting on another jam on Tattenhall rd. near Chester (England). It's the park where Owain Clegg, Alistair Whitton, Robin Fenlon and mentor Mad Jon had sessions on a regular basis. The jam will start at 3pm and stops at 9pm. The Mirraco Black Pearl, Blend, Fivestar and Chocolate frames have become available. It was a long wait but now you can buy a frame that riders like Dave Mirra, Nigel Sylvester, Rob Wise, Mike Laird, Mike Spinner, Ryan Guettler and Dave Rytell ride. The top tubes range from 20.75 (Blend Lite) to 21" (Fivestar Lite and Chocolate) with the Black Pearl Lite frame in the middle of the two with a 20.8 Top Tube.

The Fivestar Lite model(pictured on the right) is ridden by Dave Rytell, has removable rotor tabs, U-brake mounts on the seatstays and weighs in at: 4.66 lbs. (for the Europeans and other metric system users, that's 2.12 kg).

The new format of RIDEBMX has been well received. I haven't heard from anybody that they liked the old issues better. It feels like you've got something in your hands with the thicker paper ad the mat-finish makes sure it doesn't drop out of your hands and spill the coffee over the whole table. In the past I would flip through a magazine and looked forward to having a photo in the mag. These days I hope not to find a photo of myself in the mag because they usually are taken at the bar when things are going a bit wild. Issue 141 is one of those issues which has a party photo of Paul and I which we can't remember where it was taken (Keith?). The good thing is that we have a few kickass party photos of the editor himself so it's time for "payback". Find the photo at the bottom of the contents list. We've got some spares too......haha.
