Sidewall will be distributing SMPL's full range of frames, handlebars, sprockets, seats and assorted components.
"Sidewall is very excited to be working with SMPLBMX. SMPL is focused on bringing high-end products to the market that are cutting edge and lightweight, and we feel that it will fit great inside the Sidewall family. We are going to help grow the brand and also help with the expansion of the worldwide SMPL team, eventually adding several U.S. riders to the brand," said Sidewall C.E.O. Mark Owen.
Founded just over two years ago, SimpleBikeCo (now known as SMPL in the U.S.), was started by professional BMXer Niels Thanild. The brand is based in Copenhagen, Denmark, with a focus on lightweight, high-end products. The line includes frames and components which are designed for overall BMX riding, including dirt, street and skateparks. Simple's team is comprised of a wide range of BMX personalities, ranging from the brakeless street rider to the smooth trail rider, and their overall product range is responsive and adaptable for all things BMX. Simple's line employs the use of evolving manufacturing technologies, including double-butted tubing, and Simple is additionally responsible for innovative ideas such as the use of integrated bar ends on their handlebars. Simple is available throughout most of Europe, in addition to Australia, Brazil, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Russia and Singapore. Sidewall will be responsible for the exclusive introduction of the Simple range to the U.S.A.
Sidewall is currently scheduled to receive its 1st shipment early spring. For more information on the addition of SMPLBMX, log onto Sidewall Distribution.
