According to Exhibition Directors Rolf Mohne and Klaus Wellmann, Eurobike is the No. 1 showcase for new products in Europe and a perfect platform for the new demonstration event. Unique for a bicycle trade show, Demo Day is something the industry has been waiting for.
Eurobike Demo Day will be held in Eichenberg, a village in the Vorarlberg region of Austria. Located in a beautiful natural landscape with a view of Lake Constance, Eichenberg is approximately 40 minutes by car from the Friedrichshafen exhibition grounds (or 10 minutes from the Lindau autobahn exit). The alpine setting offers ideal testing conditions for both street bikes and mountain bikes. Bike retailers and journalists will have a chance to try out the industry's latest products over the course of a full day on short test runs or longer tours along marked trails. Afterwards, they can relax and philosophise over a cold beer.
"We're thrilled to have found such a perfect location for our bike camp event," says Eurobike Project Manager Stefan Reisinger. The Eurobike team has managed to fulfil a variety of industry wishes with the new bike event. Nearly one-quarter of the 800 Eurobike exhibitors have called for an additional trade show day. It was felt that five rather than four days would be necessary to accommodate the volume of appointments. Reisinger explains the advantages of Eurobike Demo Day: "The event offers a great way to do business in a more relaxed atmosphere. Manufacturers get initial feedback from retailers, and retailers have a chance to test the products and place orders. Meanwhile, photographers have an ideal setting to take pictures of the new products."
