We’re over at the Eurobike trade show in Friedrichshafen, Germany and the general vibe isn’t upbeat. Lots of brands aren’t here and those who made it are hoping for some good business in the very near future. Lately the BMX market has welcomed a lot of extra brands. Brands that started complete bikes and want a piece of the pie. But what if that cake simply isn’t big enough for all to get a decent part? Struggling companies will
fold or might be bought by others but there’s another solution that we’d prefer.
Let’s make the cake bigger. Get
kids off of their scooters and onto bikes. Organise a local jam to keep the riders interested. Or maybe do a show in front of thousands of people to show them how cool BMX really is. Guaranteed that there are kids in that crowd that get stoked on BMX and want to try it themselves. That’s a bike sale right there. What was the specific moment for you that got you into BMX? Who do you have to thank?
Let’s be positive, we’ll make it through this either way.
