Reporting to the Marketing Director, the NBL Communications Coordinator will work closely with the marketing and field departments to provide consistent and professional communication to our tracks, members, industry, and media. This individual must be a team player with excellent writing and proofing skills and posses a good working knowledge of the BMX Racing industry with a genuine interest in sports marketing. This is a full-time position, located at the head office in Hilliard, Ohio. Some domestic travel required. Includes a competitive benefits package.
General Responsibilities:
· Establish a consistent and professional communications platform through various methods including web, email, and print
· Establish strong relationships with media reporters within and outside the industry
· Establish strong relationships with our track directors, state commissioners, and volunteers to ensure that NBL marketing and positioning strategies are communicated effectively
Specific Responsibilities:
+Marketing and Programs
Work with Director of Marketing and Field Directors to design and coordinate various programs with the end goal of effectively communicating them to tracks, members, and industry · Coordinate various communication materials as required for a number of ongoing and new projects
· Research current marketing trends in other industries and how they can be applied in the BMX industry · Coordinate sponsorship materials and requests with sponsors, partners and media

· Develop and implement an effective strategy for maintaining consistent communication through the NBL website · Produce, coordinate, and publish a wide range of items on the NBL website including news, images, and other sections BMX Today Magazine
· Assist with the writing and proofing of a variety of articles as required
Requirements:
· Post-secondary education in a relevant field
· Minimum of 2 years BMX experience
· Excellent writing ability with keen understanding of grammar, composition, creative & business writing
· Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs with knowledge of graphic design programs such as InDesign, Illustrator and PhotoShop
· A genuine interest of sports marketing
· Relevant communications training and experience including: writing articles and newsletters; media relations; marketing and promotion of events
· Self-starter - ability to define objectives, prioritize workload and produce deliverables
· Must be able to travel to trade shows and marketing related events
