Skyway is celebrating their 60 year Anniversary - and wants everyone to celebrate the occasion. Throughout the weekend, Skyway will be a featured sponsor of the festivities, and plans to bring with them a variety of Team Skyway Legends.
FRIDAY EVENING - Oct 6, HALL of FAME RECEPTION
Much like last year, the BMX Hall of Fame & Museum will host an 80's themed pre-Induction Reception at the National Hall of Fame & Museum. Drinks and appetizers will be provided. This is a ticketed event.
SATURDAY DAY - Oct 7, USA BMX VINTAGE NATIONAL
Berlin is no Barcelona, but the city does have it's fair share of good spots, a laid-back atmosphere and a top-notch night life to boot. Lewis Rogers, Rory McLean, David McKean and Luke Jackson took a trip from Scotland to the German capitol, where they met up with Federal's newest recruit, Wibke Vogel. Jacob Campbell captured it all for 'Nächste", which is now available for your viewing pleasure. Good stuff!
The Munich Mash concept seems to work. Thousands of spectators came to the Olympia Park in Munich to witness the sickness and BMX was one of the highlights. It's fair to say between 5000-7000 were sitting on the natural bank to watch the finals on Sunday. 8 riders had made the cut while 4 had to watch from the sidelines after Saturday's qualification phase. The morning rain disappeared and a last practice/warm-up session could be held in order for Jacob Thiem, Tom "Richter" Justice, Sergio Layos, Bryce Tryon, Kieran Reilly, Shaun Gornall, Declan Brooks and Sikharin Supanmart to get ready for the big final. Live TV, a big crowd, prestige and some good prize money were on the line and as usual the energy given by the MC's and the crowd helped step it up.

You might not immediately put rock music and BMX together but Guns and Roses man Slash certainly did. At least he used to. In fact, the man himself has revealed that he was big into his BMX biking. Not only did Slash own several bikes but he did more than just use them as a mode of transport; explaining his decision to leave BMXing alone back in 2014 the musician revealed that he was too concerned that his jumps and stunts would lead to injury that would ultimately jeopardise his music career. We wish he’d carry on – and he might yet restart as he still owns his bikes – but we can understand why Slash called it a day. BMX is not for the feint hearted.

Sticking with the music industry, another star who has been spotted on his BMX is One Direction singer Zayn Malik. Malik, who found fame on British television talent show ‘The X-Factor’ back in 2010,
The final stop of the BMX Triple Challenge went down in Nashville this weekend. The squad of riders was a bit lower due to some injuries, event conflicts, and I think some sentiments that people were out of the race for the overall title. Some weather cancelled the plans for Friday, so they dropped the LCQ/Semi-Finals and ran 20 riders down to eight. Even with the lower group of riders, the level never ceases to amaze...
The crew and I went out to Las Vegas to celebrate Jason Watts' 30th birthday for a weekend. After an amazing couple days, we went to one of the best parks in Las Vegas to shred and shake the rust off for the Vans BMX trip that started the next day. Epic times followed by epic times!
