Steffi: Well...long story short- I used to skate professionally for 10 years and 8 of them for Vans, so I always kinda helped out and smelled how the marketing worked. Consequently the interest in business and marketing grew, so I decided to study business and marketing! That worked out pretty ok along skating and after my degree I luckily started rightaway as an assistant at Vans and now I'm Marketing Manager after 5 years. We have seen many ups and downs in the industry over the past 31 years and have adapted and changed accordingly. Today’s BMX market has changed tremendously over the past several years and consumers have more options than ever before, forcing us to rethink about the industry as a whole and our place within it.

It is no secret that a few mail order companies have captured a large percentage of the BMX market and this has put a strain on our relationship with our independent bicycle dealers (IBD). In an effort to protect the DK brand and to continue to build our relationships with the bicycle dealers, we are making some drastic changes.

Effective immediately, DK will limit all mail order and online shops in order to continue to offer the best BMX products and to put the control back in the hands of the IBD. As a result, these few large

To All of the Racers, Bike Shops, Distributors, and Fans of Answer BMX Products; On behalf of Answer BMX products, I would like to issue a sincere Thank You as well as an apology to all of those who have been patient and faithful to the Answer BMX brand for the past few years, particularly the past year and a half. Thank you to those who have stuck with us and continue to support the brand. And a sincere apology to all who have become frustrated with our long delays in having inventory readily available and because of that, our customer service not what is deserved of our loyal racers and customers. But the good news is that all of that is about to change. 

In response to feedback to its announcement three weeks ago that it was moving the show to August in Anaheim for 2011, Interbike today announced the 2011 edition of the show will stay in Las Vegas and will be held September 12-16. "The announcement that we were moving the show dates and location elicited a very real response that surveys and discussions alone couldn't accomplish," said Andy Tompkins, Interbike show director. "Due to the overwhelmingly positive response to this year's show and the countless conversations we've personally had with exhibitors and retailers regarding the future dates and location of Interbike, we are reversing our earlier decision to move the 2011 show to Anaheim in August. We are hearing loud and clear that, at this time, the industry prefers September dates and the convenience of Las Vegas."
