2018 Haro / US Development Team update: With both Bryce Batten and Kamren Larsen going Pro for 2018, we have given them a different look from the rest of the AM’s on the team with full 100% helmets and gear. The AM’s will be branded Answer Racing and Rockstar Energy. Our plan for the year is to ease Bryce and Kamren into the Pro Elite ranks with an emphasis on the USA BMX circuit, a few select European rounds and qualifying and racing the UCI World Championships.

USA Cycling today announced the creation of the U.S. Junior BMX Development Team. The team, which will serve as the premiere BMX development team in the United States, will focus on developing athletes who will be targeted to win medals at the 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympic Games.
USA Cycling and Director of BMX Jamie Staff have teamed up with Dale Holmes Racing to improve the development of young American riders. Both Staff and Holmes are passionate about youth development in the sport and hope their combined 60 years of experience will help to develop the United States’ next, great BMX athletes.

When was the point for you that you thought you had a good chance of going to the 2016Olympics in Rio?
Luis Brethauer: Pretty much directly after the London Olympics I set myself the goal to qualify for Rio. But because of the injuries I had in the qualification years, sometimes I wasn’t really sure about my chances to actually represent Germany another time. But through the end of 2015 it started to look pretty good that I’ll get the one spot through the individual ranking.
