We need your help to finish this full-length documentary about the inventor of the backflip on a bicycle and a motorcycle entitled Out of the Loop: The Jose Yanez Documentary. Directed by Jason Ryan, this film will reveal what kind of person came out of nowhere and invented a trick that all the BMX pros of the time had been thinking about, but never thought possible. Then 7 years later, Jose invented the motorcycle backflip, for which he has yet to receive credit.

Fiola’s name became synonymous with his longtime sponsor GT bicycles, and after leaving the brand in 1987, Fiola made due performing live shows for Vans. In the early ‘90s, he happened onto commercial auditions in Hollywood, and eventually followed up with a career as a Hollywood Stuntman. His most notable role as stunt double is possibly still that of Cru Jones, from the ‘80s cult classic BMX movie RAD! Although the Bully video did not live up to the hype that the company was generating at the time it still was packed with an all star line up. It really feels like they filmed the whole video in a weekend. Even though the video turned out bad there is still a few gems you can find in this. The Dirt Bros. were at the peak of their popularity and nothing really looked cooler than these guys shredding SD on the 2 tone Bully's.
