Boom!! What a fantastic start! The first station of the 2007 Battle in da Club tour on May the 17th has definitely rocked the unbelievable CocoonClub. Exciting battles and at the end Sebastian Pospischil got the victory. There can be only one! Here is the ranking, which is also the current state of the whole tour ranking:

Unfortunately we didn't see much of this year's flatland contest at the FISE. The flatland crew had their own platform built up which wasn't massive and a bit wobbly but you couldn't tell so when it mattered. One of the highlights that I did get to witness was a performance of Mike Spinner in Pro Flat qualifying. No front brake, no pegs, no freecoaster, just his regular street bike.

43 Bolts are filming for a DVD called "4 Seasons". The riders in the DVD are: Austin Coleman, Ben Snowden, Mike Saaverda, James Foster, Mike "Hucker" Clark, Josh Harrington, Kyle Cole, Luke Parslow and other team riders. The contest season has started and so we can witness our riders at different pro comps all over the planet.
-Tobias Wicke has been to Asia twice this month, competed there at Metro Jam, PIG and Asian X-Games. Straight after he won his local Highway to Hill contest in Berlin.

-As you know Alessandro Barbero injured his foot while the Eastpak USA trip in March. After some short recovering he went back to Camp Woodward to get some serious practice sessions to get ready for 07. Well, on the way back to Italy he got really sick incl. 40 fever and stayd in bed for two weeks.

Ben: JUST BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING LIKE DOING SOMETHING NEW AND BETTER, AND IT’S STILL THE SAME NOW. AND MY DAD

Being from that area and so young, was it hard to get around to where the contests were?

The Grounded BMX movie will be shown all over Europe in the next few weeks. Hell, it's even coming to the most famous youth club in Aarle-Rixtel: OJA, known for crazy parties and Pro BMX visits. The legendary place will show the Grounded DVD on June 3rd, right after the Tour Dur Laarbeek event that day that takes everyone to 4 miniramps in one day. So if you want to ride all day and party all night and don't want to miss the most anticipated BMX video of the last year, find yourself a way to Aarle-Rixtel on Sunday 3 June. The day kicks off in Mariahout, then we'll go to Lieshout (where Bavaria Bier is from), then Beek en Donk and the riding finishes at the miniramp in Aarle-Rixtel. After a quick snack at a snackbar you can kick back with a Bavaria in your hand and watch Grounded. Riding all day is free and also watching the movie doesn't cost you anything. If you've saved up 10 Euros, you can even end the day drunk. Bavaria's are 1 Euro each, what an opportunity.

The Federal team went to Paris to shoot a video. It will be out next month but you can check the trailer right here, right now on FATBMX. Edd Allen has not been sleeping enough lately. Ahhh the stress of finishing a BMX video......

Mankind is very happy to announce that long time friend and all around great guy Senad Grosic from Vienna, Austria is from now on riding for Mankind Bike Co.. Senad is that guy you heard about doing bike flips and double whip tailtaps as one of the first riders and who likes to tell real funny stories, which usually end with an austrian slang saying nobody understands, like: Joa, bisst Du deppert!!!!  You will see Senad at all the summer contest around Europe and some in the states this year. 

Sometimes you realize why people go to sports events when they can see it live on tv or see the recap of the game only a few moments later including replays. You can grab a beer from the fridge that only costs 20% of what you would have paid at the game, the temperature is good, there's a roof over your head and you don't have anything to worry about. And still people go to the stadium. And for a reason. Live events are the best. You experience the moment firsthand, hear the noise and live the moment. The miniramp contest at the FISE was one to remember. It will go in the history books of some tricks pulled for the first time, some riders riding the ramp for the first time in their life and a crowd so big it made you feel you were watching a football game.

Chris Mahoney went off in the finals. He was doing tricks back to back and didn't hold back. Ben Hennon's first boost over the spine (no-handed) scared people as they hoped he would land back on planet earth in one piece. So high.
