Loading is the DVD from the Red Bull road trip held sometime this summer. Damn is the first word that comes to mind after watching the DVD at the release party. Dutch BMX movies have come a long way since BLIXEM (first dutch BMX video??)

This movie rocks!

The idea was to pick a load of the best dutch BMX riders and stack them in a bus and ride the best spots. The riders are: Michael van der Lee, Barry Köhne, Randy Nieuwkerk, Casper Hoedemakers, Mark Vos, Vladdie de Koning, Rutger Pauw, Daniel Wijsmuller, Jeroen Burgstadt, Mario de Waard, Arnout de Boom and Dwayne Verkade

The first thing that you notice when you watch Loading is that the quality is bang on! The filming is done from several angles and edited in a way that gives you a good idea about what is going on. The music is original and really fits the parts.

Loading has a good mix of Street, park and a bit of Dirt and definitely shows the best spots in the Netherlands. The secret spots are secret indeed telling by the reactions of the crowd.

A lot goes on in the movie but a few highlights include Barry’s rollercoaster roll in to ice pick on a rail on the other side of the street. His backflip to manual is not that bad either..

Then there is Mark Vos who charges rails like there is no tomorrow and ends up scraping the road on his bare back….hard..

There are also a few good slams including the Ice Pick to water dip by Randy. First on the nuts then into a pool of dirty infested water..nice..

Actually there is a lot I would like to and probably should sum up, but in the end the movie had the same effect as Blixem..it makes me want to go out and ride ..

Buy it , borrow it, Download it, watch it, go ride…
