Relentless NASS 2010 has come to an end. The event here not only has amazing contests, it’s a huge music festival too. Awesome bands playing on three different stages, amusement park rides, on site camping, athlete lounge... just a whole package of fun. The only downside for me is having to sit out of riding because of my broken leg. Last year NASS was the same weekend as the World Championships in Cologne, so a lot of riders couldn’t make it to NASS. But this year, almost all of the best riders came out to ride. Watching Goliath Mega-Ramp for me this morning was hard because I remember the feeling of being on top of the Ramp from last year. I couldn’t believe I was missing out. The contest was still intense though. The wind was messing the riders up a bit, but they still went insane.
Goliath Mega Ramp:
Kelly Bolton went for a huge Backflip Table, a 720, & a Superman-Seat-grab back-flip. Unfortunately, he crashed on all three.
Aaron Nicholson won on this year’s mega ramp, pulling a triple whip

and big flip no hander. Crazy rider
Sam Ward followed, doing a flip x-up to turn down, big 360 tuck, and a huge flair on the quarter.
Scott Hamlin rounded out the all UK podium pulling his dialed flip whip and front flips.

Dirt! The Dirt Finals were next in line. Riders struggled as they rode the big jumps through the wind and trash tornadoes from campsites. While #1 qualifier
Ben Wallace had a hard time,
Matt Burton, Jack Marchant, and
Matt Priest combined style and big

tricks to get on the podium. Matt Burton’s main highlight were his nonstop spin variations. Jack Marchant put together 3 unbelievable runs, throwing front flips, double whips, and undeniable style on any set he wanted. Matt Priest took the victory, doing two perfect 720's also combined with other sick tricks and style. One guy got so psyched he took a wheelbarrow down the roll in.

Park After Dirt, the riders went over to the finale of NASS 2010, the BMX park final. The English crowd here was anticipating something big, and they sure got it. The riders did non stop bangers and the crowd w

as in the air longer than on the ground.
Todd Meyn pulled another 1080, and a front flip whip,
Mark Webb pulled his signature trick a Decade to 360 and a 900,
Alex Colborne did a Barrel Roll whip, 720 whip, triple whip and a huge transfer bar-spin to foot-jam.
Ben Hennon went higher than anyone else, and did some crazy stuff.
Sam Ward tried a bunch of times to do an insane 30 foot plus transfer over three ramps and gaps, and landed flat on the concrete straight onto his head on the last try. Get well soon mate. Some other guys that rode well were
Dean Ceuson, Ben Wallace, Kelly Bolton, Josh Perry, and
Aaron Nicholson.

This year’s NASS was unbelievable and I’m really glad that I came out even though I couldn’t ride. Non-stop action, partying, music,

there’s nothing better. The English people are so crazy and they make NASS one of the best events of the year. The combination of Action Sports, Music, Camping, and England is unbeatable. I’ll be back here next year to ride Now I’m off to a new event for me, the Masters in Cologne, still in cast.
The video from the weekend’s festival should be up tomorrow.
