Sergio Layos got third place with so much style and almost clean runs and tricks including an impressive backwards 50-50 grind to fakie on a big sub-box. Estonians Andres Lainevool was the first name off the podium but his riding definitely held strong with the first three and it was a close call. Andu pulled a lot of good ramp and street stuff includng the only 900 in the contest. Leon Perkins ended up at 5th place. His full-face went almost as high as Hennon and he didn't let the crowd down with his huge flairs and 360-nohanders.
Anton Evstifeev made it over from Moscow to place in the last prize place – 6th. He impressed the crowd with flip combos and all-over use of the course. The rest of the finalists weren't much less good so it was hard for the judges to make their choices. It looked like Paul Ryan liked the course a lot as he was everywhere with his nuts street combos. Oskars Zajarskis had a great laid-back style and crazy lip-tricks like whip to nosepick whip. Kevin Kalkoff's runs were fully packed with style and a real treat to watch. Eki Vainikka rode better than we've ever seen at Simpel Sessions and placed 10th as the best Finnish rider.
