But Reynolds wasn’t the only back-to-back medal winner in the discipline; San Diego’s Dennis Enarson score of 85.00 earned him the silver medal, his second in as many years, and his second silver of X Games 17. His first came in Saturday night’s BMX Freestyle Park.

Dakota Roche earned his first X Games medal, by scoring an 84.00, which was good enough for third. For Roche, the medal meant a little more with the event taking place near his hometown of Huntington Beach, Calif.
“I never would have thought this would happen," Roche said with a smile across his face. "It is cool that I am so close home, so this has a good hometown feeling. I am pretty hyped."
The BMX Freestyle Street competition features simple, raw elements such as stairs, concrete rails and ledges, and air elements such as street gaps. Judging is based on overall impression of the athlete’s run whereas their two best scores count.
