It took the tour operator 15 minutes to have one minute of silence, okay, to explain the rules, okay, otherwise the bus would stop, okay. The roof of the double decker busses were open and the weather was nice. Lots better than previous year, when rain poured on the open decks. It was time to really enjoy the Berlin tourist attractions. The couple of cases of beer that were on board of each bus were gone in a few minutes. Some Red Bull girls had brought some Vodka to add to the party making sure no one died of thirst.
The longer we were on the road, the better (wilder) the vibe got. The object throwing between the two buses already started at take-off and didn’t stop. Bananas, bottle caps, coca cola bottles and it didn’t stop there. It was a pretty crazy scene that was fun and dangerous at the same time. To enjoy it, you had to be intoxicated. Someone sober would have hated it and for good reason.Riders were pissing off the bus, threatening their sponsors, we somehow lost 2 windows of the double decker that provided some extra cool air later. Everyone was making a mess, camera’s fell off the bus and we were so loud that we had become a rolling attraction of the Berlin streets ourselves.
We did stop at the Berlin Wall, or what’s left of it, and took some quick photos there. We saw the old buildings but couldn’t understand a thing what the tour operator said. No one cared either. It wasn’t about seeing the attractions, it was about having a good time with everyone on board. We still need to take another bus trip on a quite weekend to really see what Berlin has to offer other than the airport, Mellowpark and the hotel.
