The theory behind this is that when you hit your head it's the actual force of your jaw colliding together that knocks you out. One of his crazy tricks was a crazy spin while holding a 1 footed can for 180 degrees of the rotation.
Ryan Guettler had a prelim to defintely forget. In practice him and Moustache Wade collided head on which got them some attention from the medical staff. After a 1st run which he was not happy with at all he put all his money on his 2nd only to land hard on a 720 over a step-up. Austin Coleman went nuts and pulled stuff that I dont think even has a name. His first trick was to jump the curved wallride gap. Not down it but up it which was at least 14 feet high. From there on out he was full throttle. Felt's Scotty Cranmer pulled a double whip over the huge step-up (as did Redline's Kevin Kiraly), some flairs and his staple front flip up the step-up. Haro's Ryan Nyquist pulled out an awesome 2nd run throwing in bar spins everywhere, a tailwhip and a front tire bonk on a vert extension. This run put him on top of the leader board until Cranmer shifted into 4th gear in his second run. Other Norcal native Chad Kagy had great runs as well no doubt just having fun after his great performance in the vert finals yesterday. His biggest trick came right at the start of his run as he jumped off the huge gap Cranmer was eyeing up yesterday and threw in a barspin on the way down. The riding was amazing today and the finals tomorrow promise to be a kick ass show. More soon.
