The King of Air in Flims, Switzerland went off past weekend. Amazing scenery and a sick set up made for an entertaining contest before the huge party on Saturday night. The format was 2 runs, best one counts, so all the guys sent their biggest stuff off the side by side 36 and 45 foot kickers. The MTB comp was a close fight between two guys from Barcelona, Bienvenido Alba and Xavier Passamonte. Bienve's huge front flip beat out Passamonte's flip whip for the victory. In BMX, Simon Moratz did a flip no-foot can, Marcus Hampl made everybody go crazy when he pulled a 360 superman seat grab, Desmond Tessemaker stretched a motocross-like Tsunami as far as it could go, and also pulled a pendulum to whip. Rounding out the podium was Daniel Tuente with a smooth and slow triple whip, 2nd went to Patrick Guimez after his beautiful flip whip, and I was able to pull a quad whip for the victory.

After the contest was a mixed MTB and BMX best trick jam, and Simon Moratz shocked everyone with a corked 720 on the 36 foot jump. Best style went to Desmond Tessemaker. I was psyched to see Monster Energy and Masters of Dirt riders (me, Bienvenido, Simon) come through for the win. Also a big shout out to Daniel Wedemeijer for his attempt at a 360 on the 45 footer without a warmup run. Unfortunately he overrotated and got knocked out.
