Finally it was Saturday evening, January 27. The "tjoeketjoeke" was about to go off in skateland Rotterdam. It was going to be crazy with a lot of good riders and Dj's. The organisation was afraid not many riders were going to show up because of letting them know on short notice. But thanks to the promotion on the websites: Fatbmx, soulcycle, skateland, Paul's Boutique, reload and aptraxion the group was big! There were about 75 riders in the building, which is a lot considering the Dutch scene is small. Skateland opened the door at 8pm, and it got busier the minute. After about an hour and a half we started with the contest. Rotterdam local
Jonathan tried to get all the riders together, but because that didn't work he had to use the mic. That worked a lot better.

After explaining the contest rules and ideas we were ready to make the teams. There were 7 teams consisting out of 3 or 4 riders. All the teams had a half hour to discuss the Lines or train formation. Some teams used their time well, other were just playing around.

Around 10ish we could finally start 7 teams could compete for 1st place. Each team had 3min to ride around in train formation (follow the leader game). The ended in a lot of fun! Team Manual (
Vladdie, Michael vd Lee, Brendan and
Maarten) was killing it. Team Bandana was also amazing! Team black had great lines also and the last run only had pencil airs! On the skateboard area team "Yo mamma" got crazy and only did pure street tricks.

After having seen front/backflips and tons of whips the judges made their decision. Team manual was the best of the night. With
Michael vd Lee up on front the team had some really technical lines around the park. The contest best train was only just finished and there was a new train going on. About 15 riders followed each other with 360'ing the spine. This proves it, Tjoeketjoeke for life!
After the jam a couple of riders joined
Jeroen to his place and couldn't resist to ride in his house as well.
