In spite of perfect autumn sunhsine outside, the Tretlager BMX Hall (Emmering/ Munich) was packed when the Local Support contest started and hyped up the riders for a big show. 19 teams and 57 riders - of which the youngest ones were only 10 years old - including many locals, but also teams from all over Germany and even Austria came to shred the Street Challenge. The final was full of action and finally won by ‚The Stevens’ followed closely by ‚Bodo’s Angels’ from Oldenburg. The winning team of
Craig Stevens, Simon Stevens and Volker „Stevens“ Wildner took along the 4000 € T-Mobile support for their BMX spot in Dachau/ Munich.
A local rider,
Rafael Adam, received the T-Mobile Wildcard for the best . He convinced the judges (including former BMX pro
Benny Korthaus) of his riding style and now starts directly at the Street Session Finals of the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds held on October 13th in Berlin. This gives him the chance to compete with international top riders like
Ben Wallace or
Alessandro Barbero.
