He finished first based on his higher first run score. Bestwick had entered the contest with a 55 point lead over fellow Brit Simon Tabron in the Dew Cup standings. Tabron finished fourth, giving him second overall in the standings. Australia’s Steven McCann finished third in the event and third in the standings. Kagy placed fourth in the Dew Cup race.
“I'm just pleased that I could squeak in front of Simon to win that third Dew Cup,” Bestwick said. "I have no problems about this second place trophy because on Sunday I'll step on that podium and pick up my third Dew Cup."
