Due to the rather unpredictable German weather Qualifying and finals of the contest were set up for Saturday and luckily the weather held up with a blue Bavarian sky and warm tempratures attracting a crowd of 30.000 people to the sold-out festival each day.
Declan Brooks (UK) secured the first place by throwing down an amazing combo of tricks and style, such as a backflip onehand Xup and 360 Barspins to Tailwhip, followed by Sergio Layos (ESP) with super clean and stylish Turndowns, 360 Turndown to Xup and 360 Tucknohand to Tabletop. Best Trick went to JB Peytavit with a 360 Doublewhip on the first jump, winning him a year long gym membership at McFit gyms as well as third place thanks to some very clean Turndowns and Frontfips.
Simon Moratz easily backfliped the stepdown, the Austrian gang with Tobi Merz showed of a very creative nothing to tailwhip, Maksim Novoselov went crazy by throwing down a backflip over the berm and Best Crash went to Chris Haas with an Nohand to broken arm. Get well soon!
With riders from all over joining and enjoying the comp and - of course – the concerts and slightly wild after show parties, the weekend was a great success. It was amazing seeing Dirt once again in Germany, especially in Bavaria and we're already looking forward to the next edition in 2017!Join the EX&HOP Tour on www.facebook.com/exhopcontest for updates, next stop will be Park in Nice, France next weekend and then Street at the Munich Mash (www.munich-
