A dirtcomp on a normal Wednesday is kinda weird but not for the Dirtycampus guys in Cologne and certainly not for the other beerdrinking and bratwurst eating people from Keulifornia. Build by
Benny Paulsen the 4 sets of jumps in a left hand corner were not easy for most of the BMX'ers, some had a real hard time like
Tobias Wicke, Pim van den Bos, Magga and company so only 8 riders were riding the "finals". The Mountainbikers with
Timo Pritzel and
Benny Korthaus as semi-bmx'ers made it look easier than it was.
Last 3 places were taken bij the "DUTCH" but don't blame it to the judges, Pim couldn't make it through the whole set and only did some frontflip attempts on the third set and
Colin Stolz first real contest was full of crashes,
Daniel Wedemeijer was doing good but too many mistakes didn't give him enough points to make it to top 5.
Mike Buse was fullfaced again and trew in some barspins and
Bjorn Heyer and
Sergej Geyer were not making it to top 3 but it seems they both had fun at a Wednesdaynight in Cologne.
Benny Paulsen worked hard Off his bike and ON his bike and made it to a well deserved 3rd place.
Ben Hennon was not happy in practise but of course Ben is full throttle when the comp starts and sent it to second place leaving Sprosse as the winner of the BMX side of the Dirtycampus contest.
The Dutch riders did some "after contest show" with Pim's Fronties, Colin's Backies and Daniel's 720's and after a lot of runs
Andy Zeiss had to shut down the Dutch show

cause they wouldn't stop riding, must be the Redbull's or the lack of big jumps in Holland, you name it.
Wednesday night, Thursday night, Friday night whatever, every night is a good night to do a dirtcomp, these guys in Cologne did a hell of a job and we hope we can have the same fun next year.
