The SNAFU 8.6 Race at the 20th FAT JAM was missing someone: McGoo: where were you? Since SNAFU is the sponsor of this 8.6 race the Dutch distributor took the organisation over this time. 8.6 is a "special" beer from Bavaria with more alcohol than regular beers so the 86 is not 1986 as Mike from Carhartt thought when he saw the new FAT JAM stickers....
The SNAFU 8.6 race is easy to organise: Take some cones, a shitty bike, some warm 8.6 beers, a watch/phone and you are set. The first drinker/rider was
Jonathan from Rotterdam and he was very fast: 41 seconds (Drink a bottle of warm 8.6 than slalom the cones and slalom back to the finish line) so the Hardcore drinkers from Aarle-Rixtel got scared at first.
Bern is still injured so the Bernbuster took 2 minutes to clear the race, he will be back!
Leroy Keunen, Thijs Swaenen, Daniel Wijsmuller were watching
Joshua from Asten setting a very fast time of 29 seconds!
Not the
General Lee, not
Mark Vos, not
Bro but
Zian the Aarle-Local had the same time of 29 seconds so we had 2 leaders after round one.
Of course we also had a "kids" Race without the 8.6 beers and
Ron, Sjors, Tom, Bart, Daan, Nick and
Teun couldn't beat the 24 seconds of Nick who won a nice T-shirt and will enter the real 8.6 race next year, just kidding.
Everyone had a second chance but with the hard hitting 8.6 of the first race we only had a few contenders,
Leroy also got
a 29 second race and
Joshua couldn't beat his record so it was
Zian who took the win with 26 seconds!
Nice prices were handed out by the
Coach and we hope to see
McGoo next year again at the third SNAFU 8.6 race. Thanks to SNAFU for the support!
