In BMX vert, Bestwick's win earned him the Dew Cup and he made AST history as the first athlete to win four consecutive Dew Cups. "What a dream to four-peat," Bestwick said. "Winning four in a row is a phenomenal feat." The 36-year old Bestwick, from England, took the lead in his first run to score 94.00 and the field was unable to best him. Chad Kagy of Gilroy, Calif. was second at 92.67 and Simon Tabron of England was third at 91.50.
Bestwick displayed massive amplitude in his winning which included with a huge 540 and finished with three big flairs in a row. "Man, what a contest!," Bestwick said. "The riding this year has just been phenomenal. This fourth Dew Cup at this PlayStation Stop win means a lot to me because it's a long road to get here."
