Tour Dur Laarbeek 2005
Organising the Famous FAT JAM for over 15 years we never thought it would be possible to have another event in our little town Aarle-Rixtel. We were wrong since Laarbeek bought 4 Miniramps so it was time to organise a "TOUR DUR LAARBEEK" and Mike Smits the Social worker did a great job to organise everything in every town.
First stop was Mariahout with a 1.7m high and 6m wide mini, second stop was Lieshout with a 1.50m high wedge mini, third was the spine mini of 1.5m high in Beek en Donk and last but not least on the best ramp of the 4: Aarle-Rixtel with its 6m wide 1.8m and 1.5m high Mini.
11 Riders from all over the Netherlands entered the
BMX class: Joeri Faassen, Rens and Pim van den Bos from Veldhoven, Rick from
Arnhem, Riccardo from Elst, Remco from Zeist, Daniël Wedemeijer
and Tim Frijters from Duivendrecht, Martin and Daniël Wijsmuller from the Ede Area and Michael v/d Lee from Elshout since the Sugarhill locals are all hurt we didn't even have our own riders to cheer for this time.
Daniël Wijsmuller was easy picked by the judges for first place, no doubt about it, this guy rips!
Daniël Wedemeijer got second place and
Rick Jurjus made it to third place. Prices provided by
VANS, EASTPAK, EPITAPH and PAUL'S BOUTIQUE. Joris van de Wildenberg won the Sk8 contest with Lex Air for 2nd and Jacky Beerens as third.
This tour was a start of a long tradition we hope,
Mike Smits did a good job and offered to help out with our FAT JAM this year August 20th so expect a lot of extra's this year.
We like to thank the sponsors, Gemeente Laarbeek, Rob van Beek, Ruudje EHBO, Schep, HBV Sk8demo crew, Hans v/d Broek, Reus the Busdriver and all riders that showed up, see you next year!
