Emerald nation zine has just produced it's third issue of freestyle loving fun from a girls point of veiw and we just got back from....how many road trips? haha. So the first was for emerald nation...we traveled a long way...and visited too many parks...look for some pieces of it in the new props visuals video. Issue 57 I believe and the last issue of emerald nation zine (www.emeraldnationzine.com). Then we all got together for jamie bestwicks best trick good times contest...18 girls showed up, 17 competed. For more on that look up www.wofbmx.com We are currently planning another road trip. we like taking the trips on winter vacation here in the states cause that’s when we are all off school and almost every girl that rides is in college or high school so it is a good time for us to travel as a pack. Some of us are going to be at metro Vancouver competing and having some Canadian style fun...I cant wait. OP girls learn to ride is going off the hook with session after session of teaching girls how to ride freestyle bikes...I got to teach two of those sessions and it was a blast. so keep in touch and have fun with all the babies.... I have two so I hear ya! I really am a slacker when it comes to photos...funny thing is is that I am the main photo taker for emerald nation... and man have I slacked...but no more...my camera will be traveling everywhere with me. I figure if I do that...not only will photos get taken but I will get better at taking them and feeling ok with always taking them...so here you go...hope they work... Girls BMX 01 These are the main girls that got the first road trip put together...from left to right is kari olandese, anita hodgin, stacey mulligan and nina buitrgo. look for these girls and more in the props #57 issue and mis. mags. Girls BMX 02 One of our stops was the t-1 ramp...and it went off! this is kari catching some air. Girls BMX 03 This is jill toller rockin the double peg grind at t-1 austin texas... Girls BMX 04 Heres nina getting close with her new man...that’s heathers bike shes makin out with. it was crazy at bestwick comp in ohio. riding, drinking , getting loose, cops were called and super 8 motel hates us all. haha. Girls BMX 05 & 06 Heres nina making the stencil for the home made shirts we came up with to ride in at the comp. I had a great idea to just spray paint the shirts so we could represent...it worked Girls BMX 07 & 08 Me trying to show autum...my student at the op girls learn to ride clinics...how to go over the pyramid....and here is autum dropping in for her first time...I told her she had to otherwise I was going to push her... Girls BMX 09 Now that’s a proper peg grind...me getting my grind on.... ok...so I hope that helps... Girls BMX 10 I might be in the next props after this one also...I was at my local park when the boys rolled through...they saw me do this gap...that half of them couldn't stop casing soooo...I guess they were glad I could do it...but mad cause I did haha.... thanks....have fun....anita
