JAMIE BESTWICK WINS BMX VERT AND ANDY MACDONALD WINS SKATEBOARD VERT EVENTS AT CHINA INVITATIONAL

Jamie Bestwick won the BMX vert competition at the second annual China Invitational in Beijing, China. Jamie Bestwick, 37, of Great Britain, executed a technical run that included a downside tail whip to late no footed can-can and opposite flair for the win. He earned a score of 94.17. "It took a long journey to get here," said Bestwick, "but the end result was well worth it. A tremendous battle took place on the ramp and it was a chance to inspire a new audience."

Steven McCann, of Australia, was second at 91.83 and Chad Kagy, of Gilroy, Calif. was third with a 90.00. The two-day competition is Alli's second annual international event and features skateboarding vert and park and BMX vert. Sunday's action features skateboard park finals.
