We could see the Eiffel Tower from the hotel but we have made that mistake before. It looks so close but in reality it can be so far away. It gave us a point to head towards though and after 30 minutes of neglecting all traffic rules we made it to the Trocadero which is opposite of the Eiffel Tower. Thomas was already there and Christian showed up on his motorcycle.
But first some time was spent dealing with the illegal African souvenir salesmen. I think everyone received a "special price" on the lighters, postcards or whatever crap they had to offer. It was awesome watching them run from the police and coming back the next minute. It's the way it works for them I guess. Noon had become 13h00 and we decided to go for some pizza before hitting up "the banks and the trannies." Before we made it to the first stop Ryan Guettler had already jumped a motorcycle. Not planning to ride much that day Andy Buckworth had to borrow Ryan Guettler's shoes whenever he felt like doing something. This left Ryan shoeless/clueless but all was good. No stress. The white banks had a couple of options which Ryan, Dave Rytell and Andy all used. Before we moved on Ryan got back to the motorcycle and nose bonked the wind screen and also the box on the back. Skills.
We rode by the Eiffel Tower on our way to the Louvre. Thomas showed us a little trannie bank that Andy flaired first go. So good. We were actually on our way to see the Notre Dame and survived through traffic once again. Made a quick trip inside and then we were looking for a location where Christian wanted to shoot an unusual shot for the cover of Cream. Let's see if that worked out in the next month or two. Damn, I was starting to feel my legs from pedaling around all afternoon. Made it back to the hotel at 19h00. Andy met up with a French chick, everyone packed up and moved to a hotel closer to the airport. At 22h00 I decided to make the 5 hour trip back home and got stuck in a traffic jam as soon as I hit the highway. Before falling asleep behind the wheel I parked the car in a parking lot with a few hours to go. Time for some rest so I would make it home the next day. Thanks to everyone involved for making this a fun trip. Till next time.
