Out of a field of 24 BMX riders, Caleb Quanbeck won the BMX park competition Sunday at the Gatorade Free Flow Tour's stop in Mount Hood, Ore. Nineteen-year-old Quanbeck from Oregon City, Ore. earned the BMX park victory at Windell's Camp after executing a number of technical tricks during his winning run, including a barspin turndown to seal the victory. Justin Sauter was second and Steven Brettbauer finished in third place.
"I have been to a couple of the Dew Tour stops in Portland, and they always have a great course," Quanbeck said.
"I can't wait to ride in the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals in SLC, but I think my mom is more excited than I am."
"We are super psyched on everything Gatorade brought to Windell's this weekend," Windell's Camp owner, Tim Windell said.
With the win, Quanbeck earns an automatic bid into the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals that will take place at the Dew Tour's Toyota Challenge, September 17-20, 2009.
