During a weekend, when most of the Swedish Society decides to queue like idiots at the IKEA store, the association Capital Athletics organised the Skogås Jam (near Stockholm). A lot of riders and people came up to watch the Jam and this year we had the visit of 2 riders from Flybikes: Javier Ortega and Stefan Lantschner. On the saturday, the park competition took place. The qualification was a theatre of great tricks even if the amount of riders on the Bikepark was totally insane sometimes. We started with the Junior, the level was awesome and it felt that they could give their life to be in the final. Big up to
Victor Helmersson, he is 13 y.o and probably drank too much Rockstar Drink during the practice. He pulled backflip on the funbox, backflip on the spine, went really fast over the park and still was angry at himself. After a new half an hour of practice the Park Senior started and the level was higher than the past year. Many rider, that I don't remember the name, pulled stylish tricks all the time with "simplicity" and it felt that some Swedish rider will take over the world soon. Just wait one winter and you will see.
Javier Ortega did some good mooves on the wall like ruben wall to table, high wall tap to invert or a bus on the high bank.
Stefan Lantschner did what We expected from him, huge transfers, clicked turndown, and really high airs everywhere. Stefan is really pleasant and scary to watch in the same time.
Adrian Malmberg, our 2009 winner pulled a fat 180 on the long fun box, his signature flair, barspin to nosepick, backflip, 360 condor or truck to barspin on the spine. No joke, A real machine gun.
On the Sunday, the Dirt took place. Behind the fact that the weather was really windy in Stockholm, riders pulled great and stylish tricks on the new set that the association built for the Jam.
Thanks to everybody who came at the Jam, the sponsors and the association Capital Athletics that worked its ass off to put that Jam on the light this year. Good job guys and see you next year.
