The forecast wasn't great that's why everyone had to catch the 09h30 shuttle from the hotel to the Waterski arena in Pinneberg for the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds Summer Session. The sun was out and as soon as the big school bus stopped at the location the bikes came out and practice started.
Dennis Enarson did not make it as he's injured.
Rob Darden and
Josh Harrington arrived after a trip from hell (24 hours total). They put their bikes together, rolled around for 10 seconds and the contest began. Head to head, with riders such as
Mark Webb, Ben Wallace, Alessandro Barbero, Wicke, Bommel and
more. These first runs could count as the end result of the competition if it would rain for the rest of the day so it mattered what was done. Luckily one full round was pulled off and the riders in bold made it to the second round:
Josh Harrington -
Rene BoernerOndra Slez -
Mark WebbBommel -
Wicke
Kevin Liehn -
Ben Hennon Naran -
Barbero Siggi Geier - Rob Darden
Markus Braumann -
Ben Wallace
The second round was done straight after but it started raining just before it was completely finished.
Rob Darden was voted back in as the "lucky loser" but the "lucky loser" had to ride against
Mark Webb in th last heat. Well, that heat has not happened yet. Since we're doing this update "live" from Hamburg we don't have further info just yet. Just waiting for the sun to come out to dry off the miniramp so this comp can be finished. As soon as it's dry it will be this last heat, followed by round 3. Catch it on Freecaster.t
v or right here on FATBMX. The wakeboarders don't have the same problem with rain so that comp is still going on. Bands live on stage later on as well.
