Dirt practice started bright and early at 9am, and my butt was having the hardest time getting out of my nice warm bed, as it was freezing in the morning in San Jose, so needless to say I staggered into the venue at around 9:30ish. The Prelims would go down before the public was let into the venue therefore the only audience was family and friends of the riders which actually made it kinda cool, I know the riders didn't like it too much as they feed off the audiences energy so much but we didn't have to deal with crowds or rowdy people so it was all good for me.
Highlights from the first round of the first heat of prelims are:
Luke Parslow pulling back flip x-up, front flip, barspin earning himself a score of 86.75.
Ricardo Laguna pulled something, tail whip, backflip x-up earning a score of 83.50.
Allan Cooke pulled something, tailwhip, truck driver no hander earning a score of 86.25.
Ryan Nyquist pulled a backflip one handed x-up to 360 no handed to 720 earning a score of 91.00.

Cameron White pulled a backflip, double tail whip, 360 turndown earning a score of 87.00. Rounding out Heat 1 was suppose to be
Corey Bohan but he had some bike problems and got bumped to the second heat. So starting round 2 is Parslow with a backflip barspin, tail whip, backflip tail whip earning a score of 91.75. Laguna's second run was a 360, turndown, to wiping out to get a score of 72.00. Cooke pulled an Backflip X-Up, superman, Backflip x-up no footed earning a score of 87.25. Mike Aitken's run was a 360, no footed can-can turndown, 360 can-can 1 footed x-up tabletop (yes he DID do that) earning a score of 87.00. Guettler's first run was a 360 off roll-in, front flip, tail whip, double tail whip earning a score of 92.75. Unfortunately at this point I got pulled away by a reporter from the San Jose Mercury News who decided to interview for 20 minutes about Ryan Guettler, unfortunately I missed the second runs completely and most of the third runs. So for this I'm sorry but I have proof if you head on over to the San Jose Mercury News' website search for "Ryan Guettler" and read the article entitled "Stars from Another World" it proves he interviewed me..but I swear I'm NOT like he made me out to be.

Finals went down at night, and by now most if not all of you know Guettler knocked himself out on his introductory run (he wanted to front flip all three sets...)so I was preoccupied throughout most of
the Dirt Finals with dealing with the heart attack I was given when he knocked himself out, so I didn't catch much if any of the Finals, but have no fear, thanks to my friend Alex and good ol TiVo we have the Dirt finals for ya anyways.
