Fresh off the Dew Cup win in BMX dirt, Ryan Nyquist of San Jose, Calif. won the BMX park finals at the PlayStation Pro, while Toms River, N.J.-native Garrett Reynolds was crowned the overall Dew Cup champion in BMX park for the 2009 season.

All eyes were on Tour points leader Reynolds and second-place Dave Mirra heading into the BMX park finals, but in a nail-biting twist of events neither riders made it on the podium. Mirra fell on his first run attempting his signature bunny hop backflip drop-in, however he redeemed himself and landed it in the second run, following it up with 720, placing him in fourth in the finals and second overall in the season-long rankings. Reynolds’ top run included a truckdriver to tabletop and a barspin 540, landing him in seventh place. However the run was enough to earn him his first ever Dew Cup.

“I’m psyched to win the Dew Cup, and it feels awesome,” said Reynolds. “I definitely didn’t expect to do it this way with my sketchy run tonight, but it’s awesome.”

Nyquist surprised everyone with his second run, which jumped him from tenth place to first and included a wall-ride to double barspin and a 360 double truck, earning a total score of 94.38. Venezuela’s Daniel Dhers threw out a corked 720 whip and a 720 over the box to earn him a second-place score of 93.75. Mark Webb, hailing from Great Britain, landed on the podium for the first time in his Dew Tour career and finished in third with a score of 92.38.

“I feel really good. This is the perfect way to end the season. It’s a really great feeling – two Dew Cups in dirt and a win in Orlando for park,” said Nyquist. “I really wanted to end the year on a good note, and I couldn’t ask for anything more.”

· BMX vert – Jamie Bestwick (fifth Dew Cup of his career)
· BMX park – Garrett Reynolds (first)
· BMX dirt – Ryan Nyquist (second)
