In the fifth and final instalment of VANS UNFILTERED, the unique pairing of Courage Adams and Simone Barraco ventured across remote areas of Sicily. For the high-powered and technical duo Sicily was bliss, countless spots surrounded by dusty roads and volcanic sand beaches. Even the hot temperatures and locals hustle wasn’t enough to slow these guys down, in fact, it added a touch of Italian authenticity to the trip.

Sicily turned out to be the perfect setting for UNFILTERED visionary Rich Forne, the sights and sounds helping spark the trip into life, just like Mount Etna does every day. Barraco remarked, “I’d previously visited Sicily before, however Catania was a completely different level of craziness,”.

The UNFILTERED series heads back to Europe for its fifth episode. This time around it’s the newest addition to the team, Simone Barraco, tagging along with Courage Adams on a mission through the streets and vibes of Sicily. UNFILTERED is a video series that highlights the raw side of a BMX trip. The 2018 Vans BMX Pro Cup Series celebrated a monumental finish as the series crowned Larry Edgar and Teresa Azcoaga the 2018 world champions of BMX park terrain in Málaga, Spain. Defending Vans BMX Pro Cup World Champion Larry Edgar demonstrated some of the best BMX riding the world has ever seen with colossal airs and technical tricks to earn back-to-back Pro Cup World Championship title wins. Spanish native Teresa Azcoaga upheld her series lead to earn the first-ever women’s BMX park terrain championship title, cementing a historic moment for the BMX community.
Edgar remarked with pride, “The level of riding across all stops this year has been incredible, so to be the overall winner is truly special.”
