Heading into the second year as a host city for the summer version of X Games, ESPN, Sports Minneapolis and U.S. Bank Stadium have reached a two-year extension agreement to host X Games Minneapolis through 2020. “Our first year in Minneapolis proved what an incredible fan experience X Games at U.S. Bank Stadium can offer and we are excited to build on that success over the next three years,” said Tim Reed, vice president, X Games. “Minneapolis and U.S. Bank Stadium have quickly established themselves as a destination for the world’s top sport and entertainment brands and we look forward to building off of a terrific first year in Minneapolis.”

The world’s top BMX athletes have been invited to the Road to X: Boise Qualifier, taking place June 15 - 16 at Rhodes Skate Park. The Park events serve as an official qualifying event for the X Games Minneapolis Park competitions. Twenty athletes will compete in each of the three Park disciplines. The top six BMX athletes, not already invited, will qualify into the X Games Minneapolis Park competition. For the complete list of invited athletes, please visit XGames.co.

X Games Sydney will feature Skateboard, BMX and Moto X competitions at Sydney Olympic Park. Nitro Circus is a collection of the world’s best action sports athletesand at X Games Minneapolis last weekend, the Nitro boys put their skills on display. Earning atotal of nine X Games Medals, Nitro Circus athletes cleaned up proving once again they are atthe top of their game. In BMX Big Air, James Foster took Gold in a dramatic finish while Kurtis Downs made his X Games debut stomping a solid run earning him the Bronze medal.
