Do you enjoy either contests or would you rather be on the road in a stinky bus with 6 other dudes for 10 days?
- Can't remember the last time I was in a stinky bus with other dudes for 10 days but I would go for the latter as it is always way more fun to travel with your riding friends.
What would you try if you´d jump into a foam pit?
- I would try not to get a million tiny foam particles in my eye's, other than that anything that comes to mind really, if you can think it you can do it.
Do you think Europe has good and important events/comps?
- Yes it does but not enough, I think we need to come together again and have Street/park, Vert, Flat n Dirt at more events rather than having fragmented events dotted around, a proper series for those that want it.
There´s a chance bmx freestyle will be an olympic sport soon. What´s your oppinion about that?
- I think that BMX is healthy without the Olympics, but there will be many more opportunities for riders if it is included in the Olympics and we should always look to the future and how we can get a bigger world stage to showcase the amazing things that are being achieved by freestyle riders around the world. The Olympics needs us and ultimately it will benefit the riders long term to be involved.

Why vert?
- Until you really push yourself you don't know the limits, on Vert you get a feeling like no other when you are going over 10ft back to back landing smooth and carving lines, you don't need to do any tricks. I can't explain how amazing it is to be up there flying around. Vert is about going big and staying there and that's how I like it.
You have seen many things come and go in bmx – were the “good old days” better?
- No the good old days were not better, the bikes broke the joke parts were a disgrace and the only thing good about the old days are the same things that we love now and that is riding with a good bunch of mates and now we do it on bikes engineered by riders which are the dogs nuts, now is way better for sure.
Ever thought about trowing down the “zakflip” on vert?
- Props number 2, Props number 2.
Why do you think there are less and less vert riders out there?
- It's simple, look at the size of Vert ramps now. When I started riding big ramps were 8ft max, and then they got bigger as we progressed, what we need to encourage more vert riding is to graduate them into it, lets have more 9 & 10ft midi ramp sections tagged onto big vert ramps that way riders can ease their way into it. It's intimidating for riders to get on a 13.5ft vert ramp and seems an impossible task when you start.
Any closing words / shout outs?
- No matter what, believe in yourself. Don't let people drag you down, go out ride, feel free again. Big shout out to Vans Europe 10 years next year....BIG PARTY BOYS!
