Mike S: In the Japanese BMX scene, Flatland is by far the biggest discipline. I still think Flatland is a very underground sport in Japan, though.
Do you have an idea why?
Mike S: Upbringing and life in general is guided by very strict rules in Japan, so maybe the freedom you have on your BMX, especially the endless possibilities in Flatland, are a good way to escape all that.
How crazy do you think the crowd will go when the battles start?
Mike S: I've been to a few KOG contests in Japan and the crowd shows a lot of love for the riders in those. I think it's going to be crazy at COB!
Does anyone in this rider group have a chance to win or do you have a favorite for the victory?
Mike S: I think anyone can win!
How stoked are you to be chosen to ride at the COB?
Mike S: I am very happy to be part of that event once again. It's a big honor to ride in COB!
