I would be stoked when such a big event took place two times in Japan and then comes to Germany. It would show me that the people like how the sport developed in my country.
Do you believe that Japan is the country where flatland is most popular?
Lowcash: Well I have been to Japan and I know it is big there. But I think why Flatland looks so popular there is because all the other disciplines are not that big. So Flatland is in the spotlight and of course all the great riders are coming from there as well.
How crazy do you think the crowd will go when the battles start?
Lowcash: I hope they will freak out. And I hope they will enjoy the show. But it is a strange feeling to ride in front of all these riders who may have the same skills to enter such a Contest. But you must see it as a big show with 18 actors or athletes or performers or weirdos
Does anyone in this rider group have a chance to win or do you have a favorite for the victory?
Lowcash: I would love to see a Japanese rider win. Accept of me of course. No seriously, entering the Contest, going to Japan, having a good time there, I think everyone from the 18 riders has already won.
How stoked are you to be chosen to ride at the COB?
Lowcash: Of course I cannot believe that I made it for the third time to that Contest. It shows me that I went the right way in my sport and gave my best during good and bad contest days, injuries, pain, love and hate...
Thanks to: Red Bull for inviting me, Carhartt , Sport Import, Bodo, DC, Eastpak , New Era who gave me a signature cap which I still cannot believe, and the airline that lost my bike on the way to Lanzarote. Yes I went here to escape from the bad weather in Germany to have a hardcore riding week before Japan. 24 degrees, no clouds, the best riding spot you can imagine and no bike. Finally I have it and still four days to go. So I have to stop writing and go riding now... Peace
