Answer: It feels great being on the riders list. It's something I've always day dreamed about and now actually seeing my name on the list feels awesome.
What was your first impression when you saw the drawings of the 2014 course? Answer: My first impression of the drawings for the 2014 Course was... Wow, like always when seeing the design of the Simple Session courses. The courses are designed so big with endless amount of lines to flow... Just seems a lot of fun. Plus Nate Wessel built a skatepark I grew up riding (RIP Section 8), so we know it won't be anything less of amazing.
When do you first get to ride the set up? Any obstacle in particular that you want to hit up first thing?
Answer: Which ever is the first day of practice is when I hope to ride the course... I'm not really sure what obstacle in particular that I want to ride first... I just want to ride the entire course haha.
Making finals will be tough in a strong field like this. How do you see your chances?
Answer: Making finals at Simple Session would be a huge accomplishment, but as far as chances, I'm confident as long as I get th
e run I want or the run I have planned then I'll be happy. So I guess we'll have to wait and see if it will be enough to make the finals...With the live webcast thousands of people will be watching you ride, plus about 2000 pretty girls will be there in person. Are you getting nervous yet?
Answer: Maybe a little bit haha but it'll be a fun experience with a bunch of friends and great riders. I cannot wait!
Who is your pick for first place this year?
Answer: This is a tough one... I think Kyle Baldock though or Drew Bezanson to reclaim his title since he couldn't make it last year. But there are so many contenders, Harry Main, Kevin Peraza, Logan Martin, & Micheal Beran... List goes on. Which makes Simple Session one of the biggest contests all year.
