#15: Mike Varga from Canada. First time at Simple Session. His answers to the questions.

When Mike Varga released his video on the internet, the BMX world got to know him right away. It was full of bangers and now we can't wait to see the 17 year old in action in Tallinn. With some help from Drew Bezanson the Oshawa local is making the trip to Estonia to have a good time and shred on his DK. If you can't make it yourself, make sure to watch the live feed.

When did you first hear about the Simple Session?
Mike Varga: The first time I heard about simple session was when all my friends started talking about it and since then I always watched the live streams on Vital or Ride.

Did you have to look on a map to find out where Estonia actually was?
Mike Varga: I’ve looked it up on a map at least 10 times.

Now you’re on the riders list, how does that make you feel?

Mike Varga: I’ve always dreamed of going to simple session so it makes me feel pretty good that I’m invited to such a huge and awesome contest. Beyond stoked on going.

What was your first impression when you saw the drawings of the 2014 course?
Mike Varga: Its pretty crazy just can’t wait to actually ride the set up and have a blast.

When do you first get to ride the set up? Any obstacle in particular that you want to hit up first thing?
Mike Varga: Don’t really know just want to ride everything I’ll probably figure out what I like when I’m there but the Volcano and that wall ride look pretty cool.

Making finals will be tough in a strong field like this. How do you see your chances?
Mike Varga: All depends on the run I put together, it would be sick to make finals so I’m going to try to put the craziest run together that I can but in the end I’m there for the experience and to have fun.

With the live webcast thousands of people will be watching you ride, plus about 2000 pretty girls will be there in person. Are you getting nervous yet?
Mike Varga: Not nervous yet but when I get there I’m sheer I'll be nervous with that many people watching, but I always just try to chill out and keep focused.

Who is your pick for first place this year?
Mike Varga: I’m going to vote for my fellow Canadian Drew Bezanson.

Mike Varga: I have to thank my friends and family for always supporting me, also Drew Bezanson who’s helping me out on the journey to simple session 2014.
