Katherine Diaz: 2 weeks.
What was the best event you went to this year that gets your vote?
Katherine Diaz: O Marisquiño 2017 in Vigo-Spain. Good event, and the support to the girl class is growing. The prize money is like the FISE TOUR and the organization to the contest and the hosting is really good.
What trick/move were you happy to pull for the first time this year?
Katherine Diaz: Backflip. I do it for some years now, but 2 years ago I had a heavy crash doing it and I was scared to do it again. This year I did it again and it went good. I know it is a basic trick, but went about break my fear.
What BMX move stands out the most to you that somebody did this year?
Katherine Diaz: Honestly, a backflip tailwhip from Shanice Silva Cruz, is incredible the level for the girls this year. And to see Shanice's progress is amazing.
Who had the best looking bike in 2017?
Katherine Diaz: Oh, I don't know, so many styles and riders. I can't choose only one.

Katherine Diaz: Panos Manaras' Welcome to Demolition video
What was your worst injury in 2017?
Katherine Diaz: This year I did not have any serious injury.
How many flat tires did you have the past 12 months?
Katherine Diaz: Some, maybe 10. I can't remember every each.
Best meal you had?
Katherine Diaz: Maybe, in Vigo, Spain, with my team at the Venezuelan restaurant. Great food and great team.
Raddest person you got to hang out with this year?
Katherine Diaz: Hannah Roberts, a lot of talent and a great radness person.
Best thing you saw in 2017?
Katherine Diaz: The progress of girls in the bmx.
Plans for 2018?
Katherine Diaz: Keep riding, progressing and be able to go to many contests to get to know new people and share this passion.
