The event when down with out a hitch. The vert ramp was amazing and everyone killed it. The fun box set up was dialed and some crazy tricks went down. On the vert ramp Jan Valenta and Jorge Jovel took over and amazed the crowd with banger after banger. Jan - huge airs and variation after variation Including double tail whips and superman seat grabs super high. Jorge Jovel put it down with invert flairs and flat spin 540's.
Competitions at Da Compound in Perris, Calif. turned out two BMX finalists from this past weekend’s Gatorade Free Flow Tour contests. Da Compound winners Larry Edgar (BMX dirt) and Daniel Sandoval (BMX park) have all advanced to the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals taking place September 16-19. Becoming the first-ever BMX dirt winner on the Gatorade Free Flow Tour, sixteen-year-old Edgar of Corona, Calif. earned the victory at Da Compound, setting the bar high with his final run of a 3 tuck, double whip, orbital 360, and 360 whip.
