Despite a myriad of obstacles including weather and red tape, the first ever Red Bull Stomping Grounds took place this weekend in Chicago, Illinois. The original event had been scheduled to take place in mid-May but organizers were forced to reschedule the event to June 11-12th due to permit issues. The unique and highly challenging course, designed by Tim “Fuzzy” Hall, brought together the best dirt riders in the world to compete for a $50,000 prize purse. 30 riders competed in qualifiers resulting in ten athletes joining the
