Day 7. Only two more days to go! Kinda sad that is but also pretty exciting as we were spending the last days in San Diego. We left Costa Mesa pretty early to meet up with Gary Young, Josh and Hoang Tran for breakfast in Oceanside, close to San Diego. Gary is a surfer too so he knows this awesome breakfast place called the Beachbreak Cafe. Super laydback people and great food. Probably the best breakfast we had all week, haha.

Last night after the hot tub and some more beers Tobias Wicke thought it might be a good idea to change his flight back home to an earlier day so he can get his knee checked. Since it was hard enough for him just joing the crew and not being able to ride it was an idea for sure. Especially THE spot for him on this trip was still to come, Riverside and San Diego and he def didn't want to suffer. So that's what we did and changed his ticket for the next day

Here are some pictures of the jam we did at the Guaduales trails in Santiago de Cali, Colombia before the Redbull UP Side Down that took place in Buga the 10th of this month. It was the first day in Colombia for all international riders that visited us. It was an awesome afternoon dirt session. Jhonatan pulled his first double backflip at trials, congrats! good times!  Enjoy the photos.

Tobi Wicke had a rough night, his knee blew up to a solid pumpkin size and wasn't moving at all. It was pretty clear that he was pretty much out for the rest of the trip and could only watch his mates ride. We wanted to get some street riding done so we followed the advice of our buddy Rob-O and drove to Fullerton again to check out a schoolyard. Fullerton Junior High, aka the banks were pretty well known but surely was offering some cool stuff. It's one of them typical Cali schools with tons of rails, stairs, banks, gaps, etc.

These are some pictures of the Redbull Upside Down dirt competition that took place in Buga Valle del Cauca in Colombia, South America. It was an amazing contest. We had the best riders of the country and also Patrick Guimez, Brandon Dosch, TJ Ellis and Anthony Napolitan came over and enjoyed the trails.

The fourth day was def the first downer for the crew. It started pretty cool, got up, went for some breakfast and decided to start the day with some nibble session at the Santa Ana skatepark. I´ve known that park from a prior visit with Bart de Jong earlier that year. It´s an OK park, mostly street. Everyone had fun there, Bruno Hoffmann almost killed himself with a hop over the fence out of a far distance bank. He slightly touched the top rail and went over his bars. We left Barcelona and drove through the night to our next sleeping place. All Frank told us was to be patient because we will love it there. Well, driving there through the night with only coffee and good stories and nice funny interpretations of traffic signs we ariived just in time to watch the sun rise for another super day. It was a perfect breakfast with fruit some cereals and a shower. Thanx Frank! After enough sleep we packed up the car and hit the road for Tarifa.

Day 3: Wow - it looks like we really got used to getting up early without any help of electronic devices. Everyone was a bit sore from the last two days and still a bit jetlagged so we chilled till 2pm. But instead of hanging out we wanted to "kill some time" with some typical tourist stuff. As we were supposed to meet a friend for some street riding around Hollywood we got there a bit earlier to check out Hollywood Hills and the view downtown LA. Pretty neat. The street session got canceled so needed to come up with a plan B in that area to avoid busy traffic back towards OC. There was supposed to be a good park (The Cove) with a bmx evening that day in Santa Monica so we gave it a try.

Arriving there the park looked awesome but then we faced some heavy duty crap in terms of getting a full year membership to ride, Bruno wasn't able to ride due to his age, no filming, no photo, 

Day 2: After a good sleep we got up pretty early again to make things happen. Weather was awesome, at 9am we already hit the 25 celsius mark. It´s warm in SoCal during winter but it does get dark early too. So for some outdoor riding we needed to get it done by 5pm. We drove something like 10 min and then by total coincidence past a ditch. It looked pretty cool from what we could see from the freeway so we decided to take the next junction to hit it up. Arriving at the ditch we figured we just found a pretty famous

Day 1: Let's start with the “official” day 1 here – I guess nobody wants to read how exiting the flights were, haha. Thanks to Jerry Badders picking us up at LAX and supporting us with a large vehicle. So after a full day of travel we got up pretty early on day 1. Needless to say without any alarm clock. We wanted to start it pretty chilled, went to 7eleven to get some coffee and headed the 2 min drive down to the beach to watch the sunrise.
