Well another year has come and gone, and with it another stop for the Vans Warped Tour to the Indianapolis area. Rick Thorne was there again and it was great to chill with him for a moment and hear his comments on a little bit of everything. As I was walking through the Vans skate area, I was greeted by an upbeat Rick who remembered the interview we had last year. He loved the interview that we did; the use of the Pabst case as writing material was inventive. He reflected on the interview and some of the negative comments. He spoke about how there are people out there that “are hating” on him for what he did before they even rode a bike. We conversed about how when you are in the spot light, it is easy for others to direct negatives comments towards you, but those are the same people that do not stick with it or do anything to make things better. During this conversation, he talked about a situation that happened that day, where he was standing in line to get something to eat and someone asked if he still rode his bike. He told them everyday. To him, it seemed like people were “hating on him”
