Day 6 in the States. Today we are leaving for Vegas. We first checked out the Megaramp. That ramp is huge. I felt real small when I walked on it but think that one day I will be riding it. There was a big nest underneath the platform of the quarterpipe and I wonder what kind of bird made it. We then had breakfast and said goodbye
to
Bryce Tyron and his dad who had been doing the pick up runs in Woodward's 'Grumpy' van.
We rode for a little bit and I started saying goodbye to the parc little by little. I cruised the Crater but treated it with respect. I rode the dirt jumps in the back and crashed once on a new section. I did a step-up transfer that I wanted to do so that ended my session on the dirt jumps. The little pump track was next. A few laps there
and then it was off to the Coaster Roaster for more. The smaller (new) concrete section with bowls and hips was cool also and the indoor section was hit for a last time. It was hard to say goodbye to the park, because I don't know if there will be a next time to ride it.
We packed the car and drove off to Vegas. It was a long drive. The landscape was very different from back home but after an hour of seeing dry terrain with mountains and cactuses, I did not need to see more. I was happy we had AC in the car because it got to 117 degrees fahrenheit. That's about 43 degrees!
When we got to Las Vegas I saw the big hotels. We did some shopping at the Premium outlet stores in the North part of the city. Me and my sister bought some new Vans. They're cheap at the outlet stores. $29,95 USD for one pair and the next pair was half price. I got some hi-tops and like them a lot.
We went to
Tracer Finn's place who was going to be our host for the next few days. Tracer and
Shelly had a dog called
Downey. I love dogs but we don't have one. This is my chance to play with a dog and take care of it. The trip and the shopping made me tired. We went to sleep early so we can explore Las Vegas the next day. Tune in for more tomorrow.
