Today was a special day for me. It was my first BMX training on an official BMX track. After dinner we went to FCC Wheels in Erp. I looked at the track on the website but I could not wait to see it in real life. My sister was going to ride her first Dutch BMX track also and we were ready for it. I had just got a new bike, the 2015 HARO Expert XL and I love it. Veerle got some new goggles from the Eurobike show that my dad brought over. We gathered our old MX gear and were ready for some laps on the track.
As soon as we arrived we were told that we needed some body protection also. We could borrow it from the BMX club. Mark was our trainer for the first part. He took care of the group of beginners. We started on the last straight and rode that rhythm section a few times back and forth. Then we added to second to last straight which had lots of jumps also. We had a short break for something to drink and then we went to the starting hill. Richard was helping on the hill.
We started low on the starting hill and I went up higher and higher. Then we also did the last part of the track a few times and fi
nished the training with a game of footdown. I survived for a while until someone wanted me down and I lost my balance.
My bike rode awesome and I liked it a lot. Veerle liked it also. Next training is Thursday and I want to go again.
