Right materials, right places. Kali Protectives continues this product promise with the AAZIS™ Plus 180 soft knee guard. All the protection for your knee, plus expanded protection to cover your shin. That's the official description from the Kali camp but we've got to say that test rider Philip de Jong was well pleased by the pads as well. The Medium size is a bit on the large size right now but you know how quick these boys grow so if he's happy with them now, he'll be happy with them in time to come when they are even a better fit.

At first he tried them under his race gear on the BMX track. If you've been at a BMX track lately, you've probably noticed how rock hard the surface is and that the turns aren't made of loose sand but very grippy asphalt that will scrape your skin off your knees like the most grippy sandpaper. The Kali pads feel comfortable and the one-construction knee/shin guard was well received by Philip. It fit easily under his One Ind. race pants.

On a freestyle note, we're about to head to 040BMXPARK again tonight for a session and Philip already has his Kali pads on under his jeans. With the holes in the right places, there is no rubbing. High top shoes work well with the way the attached shinguards are designed.

All in all a good set of pads with plastic inserts so you know they're do the job when you slip on your metal pedals with pins.
