Get behind the scenes at X Games Ventura 2024 with two certified BMX legends! Monster Energy is proud to welcome 29-year-old Kevin Peraza from Tucson, Arizona, alongside 30-year-old Ryan Williams from Sunshine Coast, Australia, on Episode 408 of the sports and pop culture podcast UNLEASHED with The Dingo, Danny, and Brittney. Speaking on the special significance of competing in the X Games, Peraza said: “It is a show! It’s a contest for us; we are all trying to get a medal, but it’s also a show. It's our stage to showcase our personalities, our new tricks, and our new style to the kids. And not just inspire kids to pick up a BMX bike, but to enjoy action sports, and just put a smile on people's faces!”
Today we decided to try bring "Scooter Tricks" to the BMX world! We started out with a "Bartwist" then worked our way up to tricks like "1080 Briflip!" I can't believe some of the tricks that worked. I plan to bring some of these to the lander next time I ride it!
In front of a packed house for the final day of the inaugural X Games Sydney 2018, Australian athletes gave their hometown crowd reason to cheer. Australian athletes took home 10 medals, three of them being gold, the most of any country. Ryan Williams of the Sunshine Coast kicked off the day winning his first X Games medal with gold in the BMX Big Air competition. Best known for throwing scooter tricks on the Nitro Circus tour, Ryan Williams showed he’s not just a one-trick pony. Adding BMX riding in recent years, Williams quickly learned his way around the bike and lands some of the most creative tricks in the discipline. The first ever Cashroll Tailwhip to Barspin on BMX (360 Frontflip tail whip to barspin) performed at Nitro Circus on the 20th of November 2015. The wait is over, Ryan Williams Web Edit 3 is finally here! So much blood, sweat and tears went into this video, I couldn't even begin to imagine how many hours I have spent trying to land these tricks but this video makes it all worth it. Got invited to one of the coolest backyards I have ever seen! During the 2017 Nitro Circus New Zealand tour we are always looking for fun activities.
